Queenbridge -16.1hh Grey Mare (Foaled 2016)

Queenbridge, Grey Mare, Foaled 2016, 16.1hh

Genetic Sire: Baltydaniel Silver Fox (ID)

Genetic Dam: Battlebridge Girl (UNK)

Queenbridge is a stunning 16.1hh Irish Mare who was imported by Sally from Ireland to Riding Farm on the 3rd August 2020.

This mare is superbly put together and really looks the part. She is extremely level headed and straight forward – every rider’s dream!

The total package, Queenbridge has three super paces and is obedient off the leg with an athletic way of going, working nicely on the flat. She also shows good scope over show jumps and pops coloured poles in a positive but relaxed way.

Queenbridge is a gentle giant and loves a fuss! She is a pleasure to handle on the ground with a kind temperament and loving nature.

She is currently working at our riding school for a range of riders in both jumping lessons and on the flat and is proving herself to be a real superstar!

This very eye-catching mare would make a great all-rounder!

No vices. Good to shoe, clip and catch.

This handsome cob gelding has a smashing temperament, is easy to handle on the ground and loves a fuss!

John is a responsive yet safe ride, with three super paces and works nicely on the flat. He moves well off the leg and has an athletic way of going. John is amazing over a fence and a natural jumper with a real pop in him!

He is currently working on our riding school for our more advanced riders and excels on our weekly XC lesson. This horse has also hunted last season in Ireland with the Tipperary Foxhounds.

This stunningly marked piebald is a perfect all-rounder!

No vices. Good to catch, clip, shoe.

Lilly – 14.2hh Mare

14.2HH Cremello Mare, Foaled 1st April 2014

Lilly arrived at Riding Farm on the 21st July 2019

This kind-hearted pony has a wonderful temperament and a lovely, friendly attitude. She has a sweet personality and is very well mannered, so very easy to catch, groom, tack up and handle in general.

A pleasure to ride, this super-smart mare is comfortable and uncomplicated. She is responsive to the rider’s aids. Her positive attitude towards work means she is forward going yet polite.

She is happy to work with other horses in close proximity in a group lesson, but is also brilliant to ride alone in private sessions.

Since arriving with us Lilly has done a small amount of jumping. Lily is enthusiastic over her fences yet obedient and is even teaching our intermediate riders how to jump.

Always beautifully behaved, she is hacked around our open fields. Often joining our Sunday Group Hack where she has proved herself to be a safe and reliable ride as she is not spooky or strong.

Overall, Lilly is a super sweet mare with so much to offer. She would suit a fun all-rounder as she has so much potential.

Pictures to follow shortly!

Freddie – 11.2hh Grey Gelding

11.2hh Grey Gelding, Year of birth 2006

Freddie was imported from Ireland by Sally in March 2016.

As you can see from his pictures, this gorgeous little gelding is as bright as a button and as cute as they come! He was a perfect model for me as he stood angelically for his standing shoot, literally letting us position each leg in turn and never once trying to snatch a mouthful of grass!

This kindly little chap would really suit a home with children at different stages in their riding. He is impeccably behaved on the lead rein for complete beginners, but once off the lead rein is a responsive, forward going ride for a child with more experience.

An obedient ride in the arena, Freddie is really easy off the leg without being overly forward and is easy for little riders to stop and steer.

Testament to the above, Freddie is often used for beginner riding lessons and for our pony parties, but still has enough about him to satisfy a more adventurous child! He would therefore be the perfect choice for a child that wants to progress with their riding.

Freddie jumps for fun and will pop a jump very sweetly and with great technique.

This little star also has such a sweet, forgiving nature and can easily be caught, led, groomed and tacked up.

He really encompasses everything one looks for in a child’s pony and would be the perfect choice for a family looking to inspire a real love of riding in their budding young jockey.

Freddie is sold with a Leisure Horse Ireland passport.

During the Summer of 2018, Freddie has suffered mildly with sweet itch, which has easily been controlled with a fly rug.

Paddy XL – 11.2HH Gelding

11.2HH White Gelding, Year of birth 2007.

XL by name, but certainly not in stature, this mini marvel was imported from Ireland by Sally in November 2015.

This utterly adorable little gelding would ideally suit as a first or second pony, as he is so quiet on and off the lead rein but has enough get up and go to make an entertaining ride for a more experienced jockey.

In this way he would be the perfect purchase for a family with two children at different stages in their riding.

Paddy is a delightfully forward yet totally responsive ride in the arena and does not require kicking along like so many ponies of his type. With a lovely soft little mouth, he will also stop and turn at the lightest touch.

Paddy also enjoys his jumping, so don’t let his diminutive physique fool you – he jumps as if he has springs in his heels! Happy to cruise around a little course of show jumps, he doesn’t mind fillers and is keen without being fizzy.

This little sweetheart is also a super hack, remaining just as rideable as he is in the arena and as you can see from his video, he is utterly unfazed by traffic.

The icing on the cake with this pony is his really forgiving temperament – he is a joy to handle and is well mannered to groom, tack up and lead, ambling along very quietly.

A pint sized pony with a huge heart, Paddy has so much to offer and really deserves a loving home where he is bound to become his new little jockey’s pride and joy.

Paddy is sold with a Leisure Horse Ireland passport.
