Patch – 13.3hh Gelding

13.3hh Piebald Gelding, Year of birth 2010

Loan Patch for £500 pcm shared use.

Or £600 pcm sole use.

Both to include livery, shoeing and worming.

Sally imported Patch from Ireland in June 2016.

This pony is one seriously cool dude!

Patch is a really nicely put together little cob, with unusual and very attractive white markings on his face and belly.

He has a really super outlook on life and is a real happy chappy!

Patch is a really cute, push button ride. He is responsive and goes off a light leg aid but doesn’t pull.

Patch attended the Coakham Bloodhounds Puppy Hunt Meet on Sunday 8th October 2017 at Goblands Farm in Hadlow (see pictures). He was taken by one of our liveries, who had a fantastic day out on him! Patch gave her an amazing ride and stayed out all morning; easily able to keep up with the bigger horses. He covered the ground fantastically well, was very sure footed and nimble and as you can see from the pictures, had a great turn of pace for the faster galloping sections! Despite this, he was not strong or silly, stood quietly at the meet and was well behaved around the hounds.

At this meet, Patch popped a variety of natural obstacles including banks, little logs and rails, and jumped each very confidently and calmly.

Back at home, Patch is a very keen little jumper and genuinely enjoys having a pop round a small course of show jumps. He jumps out of a lovely forward canter and is easy to see a stride on. He is just a really fun ride and the sort of pony that instantly makes you want to bomb about, popping jumps and having a merry time!

Patch has been used on Sally’s weekly cross country sessions for riders just starting to get a feel for how to ride positively across the country and he is perfect for this job! He is so eager and up for it but in a way that totally puts his rider at ease, so he would be perfect for a child or small adult looking to build their confidence.

Patch is a gorgeous hack and as such is regularly used on Denise’s weekly group hack. He adores his hacking and is wonderfully straightforward, moving up and down the gears quickly and easily

Clients love him as he is not only so sweet to look at, but has a wonderful temperament. He is one of the easiest ponies to handle and can be groomed, tacked up and washed off very easily.

Patch would be the perfect purchase for a small adult looking to purchase their first horse; or as a really solid and dependable second pony for a child.
