Fleur – Skewbald Mare

Skewbald Mare, Year of birth 2007

Loan Fleur for £500 pcm shared use.

Or £650 pcm sole use.

Both to include livery, shoeing and worming.

Fleur was imported from Ireland in March 2016.

This seriously sweet little mare has a beautifully even temperament that would make her the perfect partner for any budding mini rider!

With her gorgeous skewbald colouring and lovely even markings, she is certainly a real head turner. This coupled with her love of being the star of the show and her impeccable manners would make her the ideal candidate for in-hand showing or first ridden classes.

Fleur was ridden regularly in Ireland, and Sally even rode her when she went to view her! Since arriving at Riding Farm, we have started using her on our group lead rein lessons and for private sessions for our tiniest riders. She is just ideal for these lessons, as her diminutive stature and gorgeous temperament immediately puts both parents and children completely at ease! She trots around very happily, with her ears pricked on the lead rein; and is easy for children to learn to rise to the trot on.

Fleur is also often used for the stable management phase of our very popular children’s pony parties. Perfectly suited to this, she lets hordes of children groom her; standing so quietly whilst they learn how to pick out her feet and brush her off. She is also very well behaved to lead, and will potter quietly alongside the tiniest of children whilst they learn how to correctly lead a pony.

As you can see from her pictures, she absolutely oozes cuteness out of every pore! She stood up so well for her standing pictures and let us groom and pick out her feet in the middle of the paddock without once trying to snatch some grass!

She is currently stabled on our main yard where she absolutely adores all the fuss and attention given to her by our clients. We have custom made her a small stable door so she can see the comings and goings on the yard, which she loves as she has such a bright, inquisitive nature.

The shining star on the yard, she is everybody’s favourite and the one they all flock to stroke!

Fleur would do so well in a home where she can teach a new little jockey the ropes and be thoroughly spoilt rotten of course!
