Bolin was imported from Ireland by Sally in April 2017.

This smart grey gelding has hunted and Evented in Ireland, so has really been there, done it and has the T-Shirt to prove it! As such he would be a great purchase for a teenager moving onto horses, or for someone that wants to get out and about competing.
In the same breath he would suit just about anyone!

One of the best things about this horse is the fact that he is just so uncomplicated. He doesn’t have any hang ups about anything whatsoever, is easy to mount, rides forward off the leg well but doesn’t rush, and comes back to his rider as soon as asked.

I have hacked him out a few times myself in company and was amazed at how laid back he was out in our wide open fields. He is happy to go first or last, is totally un-spooky and will only pop up a gear when asked.

He is also the perfect gentleman to do gates on, as he will stand like a saint when you need him to, but will quickly turn on the forehand when required!

It is so hard to find these characteristics in a sports horse type, but so refreshing! He really is the sort that you feel able to trust implicitly within five minutes of being in the saddle and so his new owner is bound to click with him immediately!

His easy going, kind nature really shines through in his jumping too, as he is so quick to help his rider out and will jump off of any stride! This takes all of the stress out of jumping, and means that he is a really enjoyable ride around a course of show jumps.

Bolin is really in his element out on the cross country course too. He has been used regularly in Sally’s weekly group Cross Country sessions, by both staff and riding school clients, and every time, has gone like a dream! He is a really safe ride across country and never becomes strong or does anything to worry his rider. He has jumped absolutely everything out on our cross country course.

Bolin is also quiet and sweet to handle both in and out of the stable.

To cut a long story short, he is one of the most predictable, honest and trustworthy horses I have ever come across; whilst retaining all the quality necessary to make someone a super competition horse, hunter, or, if you’d prefer, happy hacker!
